AAPT/ComPADRE collections provide customized services to specific physics education communities.
The following are a list of common features, but contact us if you have a question about what can be supported.
Each collection supports tools for the creation and retrieval of digital resources. Material ratings, peer review, user comments, and a filing cabinet are some of the functions available. We can also help with customizing vocabularies for specific disciplines, or provide federated search to partner communities.
Collections can host lab manuals, simulations, applets, and other education-related physics documents for their communities.
ComPADRE can provide the tools and services for your physics community to organize and schedule events online. Services provided for hosted conferences and workshops include abstract submission, document hosting, publication of online proceedings, and online registration.
At this time, we do not provide a system for online payment, but we link to external payment systems such as PayPal as needed.
Each physics community has its own news and events of importance. Our collections provide a simple way to make that information available. RSS feeds of listings can be provided.
Collections can host custom databases for jobs, research, and other opportunities.
Collections can host discussion forums or specialized Wikis for discipline-specific information.
We have an interface to provide online surveys for community polling or event evaluation.
If you have a question about whether we could provide a service for your physics education community, please contact us.
