PSSC 50th Anniversary: July 25, 2006; In 1956 MIT physics professor Jerrold Zacharias formed PSSC, the Physical Sciences Study Committe. In 2006, the AAPT is recognizing this effort through a series of retrospectives by a few of the participants, teachers, and students impacted by the products of the PSSC.
