In Mansfield University's Modeling Institute, teachers conduct intensive, hands-on, practical workshops.  The 2012 Modeling Institute offers courses in:

•  Modeling Physics (mechanics)
•  Modeling Chemistry

Each workshop is free, including lunches.

Housing is available in newly constructed air-conditioned dormitories (cost $154/week).  Apartment-style: two bedrooms with a shared bathroom & common living-dining space. Contact Greg Carson for details.

Workshops may also be taken for four (4) graduate credits at regular tuition rates.

The nearest airport is at Corning/Elmira Regional Airport, NY (45 miles away).
Other Prerequisites: 2 semesters of college-level courses in the respective subject are highly recommended.

[Offered in summer 2013: Prerequisite for the advanced curriculum development course are three weeks of Modeling Workshop in the respective subject (physics or chemistry) and a year of implementation.]
