Program in Physics Education
For students interested in teaching, the Physics Department offers two pathways.  One option is a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Teaching. This certifies individuals to teach high school physics and  physical science in grades 9 -12.  The second option is a B.S. degree in  Physical Science Teaching, which certifies teachers to teach high school physics, chemistry, and physical science for grades 9 –12.

Department Initiatives in Physics Education
The Physics Department at Winona State University has offered a physics-teaching program for many years and has been involved with many teaching programs.  The department helped develop and instituitonalize a sequence of inquiry science classes for preservice elementary teachers.  The department is committed to preparing teachers to be successful and enjoy their career.
