Dr. Heather Whitney is Assistant Professor of Physics at Wheaton College. She graduated summa cum laude from King College with majors in physics and performing and visual arts. During her graduate school work at Vanderbilt University, she earned master's degrees in physics and medical physics and the Doctor of Philosophy degree in physics while doing research at the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science.
Dr. Whitney joined the Wheaton faculty in 2010 after two years at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. Her research interests include nuclear magnetic relaxation mechanisms of polymer gel dosimeters and physics education research.
