Information for Authors
In order for a paper to be eligible for submission to the PERC Proceedings, the paper's first author must make a presentation related to the paper at the annual Physics Education Research Conference (PERC). Work presented only at the main AAPT meeting is NOT eligible for submission to the PERC Proceedings.
Paper submissions are categorized as either invited or contributed.
Invited paper submissions are related to plenary presentations (including banquet speakers) at the annual PERC.
PERC Plenary speakers are expected to submit a paper documenting their presentation in order to help document the work presented at the annual PERC.
Invited papers are generally copy-edited by the Invited Section Editor prior to publication.
Contributed paper submissions are related to presentations in one of the following types of sessions at the annual PERC:
- Contributed Poster or
- Roundtable Discussion or
- Workshop or
- Symposium or
- Custom Format
ALL contributed papers will be peer reviewed with the understanding that such submissions may concern preliminary results and works-in-progress.
As of 2014, no author is allowed to be the first author on more than one PERC paper in a single year.
