Abstract Title: Yes, I can teach physics, but
Abstract: This paper presents a narrative qualitative research study that describes and analyzes the experience of the author as a first-time physics teacher who replaced an experienced physics teacher for a three months period in a high school in Canada. The paper discusses the difficulties faced by the author and the obstacles overcome to teach the physics course. The paper shows the importance of factors to be considered in taking a temporary physics teaching assignment, and factors to be considered by a school to facilitate the teaching assignment.
