Launcher design : Put a 3D frame in the display pane under a given tab? - Aug 17 at 11:51AM

I have a simulation that has a 2d plotting frame and a 3D drawing frame.

When I package this simulation into a launcher, the 2d frame appears within the tabbed display, but the 3D frame floats out as a separate pop-up window.

Is it possible to have the 3D and 2D (or multiple frames) appear side-by-side within the launcher? How can one specify which display frame(s) to put in a given tab?

Thanks,
Praveen

I am not sure I understand the question.  The Launcher shows a model's Description in the reading panel when a node is selected.  Clicking on a node launches (runs) the model exactly the way the model was designed.  If the model has one main frame the user will see one frame.  If the launcher has two frames, the users will see two frames.

Hello Wolfgang,

I tried to upload an example Launcher.jar file, but it was >2MB and was rejected.

If I do not specify any HTML file for a simulation sub-node, then one of the plotting/drawing frames contained in the simulation is displayed by default in the space where the HTML would have been. (This will be a working sim. view, and not just an image). Any other frames in the simulation are shown as pop-ups.

I was wondering if this behavior can be changed - can we have two plotting/drawing frames appearing embedded in the main window, for example?

Thanks,
Praveen.

PS: I could email the file to you if you would like to have a look.

Launcher can embed the contents of a single JFrame but it cannot combine multiple frames in the reading panel.  You could, however, create a single frame that has mutiple tabs or side by side views and embed that frame.
