Website Detail Page

written by Andrew Duffy
This web page is a tutorial relating to static friction.  It uses the incline plane method for measuring  the coefficient of static friction. Included is an explicit explanation of the mathematics involved.  The user is asked to use the simulation to build a free body diagram of the situation.
This item is part of a collection of similar simulation-based activities developed for students of introductory physics.
