This simple applet shows a ray diagram of the light from an object traveling through first a diverging lens and then through the converging lens of a nearsighted eye. The user is encouraged to adjust the location of the diverging lens until the light rays converge at the back of the eye. A detailed explanation is provided (including a discussion of near and far points).
