published by the Exploratorium
See this site, from the Exploratorium, for an activity on reflection using several mirrors to produce multiple reflections.  With two hinged mirrors, students can makes different numbers of reflections. With three mirrors at 90 degrees, students can produce a reflector that sends light back in the direction it came from. The site also contains an explanation of the physics involved and several extension activities. Be sure to do this activity with the supervision of an adult.
