Abstract Title: Studies in using an Optical Trap
Abstract: An optical trap or an optical tweezers is a scientific instrument that uses a focused laser beam to provide an attractive or repulsive force, depending on the refractive index mismatch to physically hold and move microscopic dielectric objects. Optical tweezers have been particularly successful in studying a variety of biological systems in recent years. Studies in Brownian motion, the random movement of particles suspended in a fluid. Studies in Mie Scattering of particles relative in size as the wavelengths being scattered. Studies in Rayleigh scattering from molecules, describing the electrical charges on the molecule will move in an electric field. Calculating in trap forces, stokes oscillation and spectral density analysis may be calculated and analyzed.
