The University of Memphis has opened up a STEM Scholarship to its students.

Students must file a FAFSA in order to be eligible since the award is for students with unmet financial need.

Awards are based on GPA, a personal statement, and on recommendations from representatives from your department. Juniors and seniors receive priority in the awards process.

Offers scholarships to full or part-time STEM majors (including Physics & Astronomy students)  in good academic standing, with minimum 3.0 GPA.   This is limited to students who attend one of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) colleges but for those of you already attending or for those of you making transfer decisions, this may be an option worth exploring!

You must have completed 12 credit hours. Students who meet criteria are eligible for merit-based awards of up to $2,640 over the academic year.

Awards range from $600 to $1320 for each semester (fall 2013 and spring 2014).

The Smiths, Stone temple pilots, Pixies, Nirvana, Unkown Mortal Orchestra, and the Smashing Pumpkins.
I also listen to some techno music (mainly IDM (aphex twin))

The Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) provides students attending member colleges and universities opportunities to apply for scholarship awards.

Scholarships are open to students in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and STEM education disciplines.

Diabetes Scholars Foundation Scholarship

The Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarship program offers approximately 11 different scholarships.  Although this scholarship program doesn't specifically target students studying physics, astronomy or engineering students, a few of these scholarships are available to first year freshman with Type I diabetes pursuing just about any major. Scholarships are not based on financial need.  Each has its own eligibility criteria, however, the website does indicate that you must be US citizen or permanent resident.
