We had our Pi Day celebration yesterday, since the actual Pi Day is during spring break. It was a great success! We collaborated with the Math Club to pie both physics and math professors. We ended up making about $200 and everyone had a lot of fun, even the professors, though the clean up was less fun. But really, an event like this is better described in pictures, so here you go:




This picture is Dr. Trilling pie-ing Dr. Eastwood. A lot of our funds came from professors pie-ing each other.

The next two photos have a funny story. Dr. Rushall of the math department had to pick up his kids from school, and didn't want to do it covered in pie. He was willing to outbid anyone to buy his own pie, but he only had $50 in his pocket. Apparently he always assigns a lot of homework, because several students pooled their cash and bought his pie for $54.

Keir gives a preemptive strike to our quantum professor next semester, Dr. Dillingham. Dr. Dillingham's son is also a physics major here, and a couple of years ago he pied his own dad.


Math professor Matt Fahy and his grad student/TA Alex bought each other's pies and pied each other at the same time.


As president, my head also had to go under the chopping block (or rather, the pie tin).
