This item is a model assessment for introductory physics students on conservation of energy. It assesses both quantitative/mathematical skills in solving problems, as well as qualitative skills in creating energy bar graphs and flow diagrams. It is part of a larger set of curriculum materials, all of which are aligned with the Modeling Instruction pedagogical method of teaching.
