This is a proposed set of standards for science teaching in Maryland. It includes a short list of guiding principles and goals for grades K-3, 4-5, 6-8 and 9-12, in each of the following areas: mechanics, heat, electricity and magnetism, light and sound, space, geology, weather and climate, and modern physics/nuclear power.
