This page contains a set of standards-aligned lessons for Grades 2-12 that allow students to explore the nanometer scale and learn how nanotechnology has impacted society. Lessons for elementary school promote understanding of how small a nano really is. For the middle grades, students apply this understanding in guided experiments. Learners in Grades 8-12 will learn how nanotechnology has impacted manufacturing and conduct experiments to test properties of materials at the nanoscale.
