Exploring the Nanoworld: Nanoville Activity
Project-based learning: students play decision-making roles for the town of Nanoville, as they investigate whether to pass a law requiring all new cars to be built with nanocomposites. They must investigate the properties of the new material, explore its costs/benefits, and present varying viewpoints about the implications to society. Module is completely turn-key, with student hand-outs, background info, and teacher's guide.
