We already have a certification program in place for physics majors to be certified in NY state. We have had a few nibbles but no students finishing the program certification. Our number of majors is increasing and we just got a Noyce Award - of which some scholars are likely to be from the physics department. We do alot of outreach in the local schools and also have created materials and workshops for K-12.
