We are revamping our BSEd Physics degree programs in order to attract more students and to produce more graduates to fill the demand for well-qualified physics teachers.  These plans include increased focus on teacher content background, improving techniques for teaching of physics, and more real-world lab experience.

We think that PTEC membership could spur our motivation in curriculum development, increase our recruitment of qualified students and , and change departmental attitudes toward student pursuing a physics teaching degree.
