2500 Rivermont Avenue
Lynchburg, VA 24503
A small, liberal arts college in central Virginia. Known for a global education gained through individualized instruction and experiential learning opportunities.
In 2007, the education and physics departments created a physics teaching degree, which was passed by the faculty and is available for students starting 2008.
The faculty in the physics department work very closely with the education department, writing grants and doing research with students and faculty from both departments; we do this in part to try to draw education students into science and vice-versa.
