The Physics Program at Texas Southern University is emphasizing six new tracks in undergraduate physics: Physics Education, Health Physics, (Pre) Medical/Radiation Physics, Mathematical and Computational Physics, Engineering Physics, and Pharmaceutical Physical Sciences. The first track is specifically designed for producing competitive high school physics teachers. Each of these concentrations has a 4-5-6 year curriculum, with a heavy emphasis on mathematics and computation as taught within a physics context. An outline of the various programs and courses of study may be found at: http://em.tsu.edu/catalog/08catalog/228a_phys.pdf For additional information, consult http://physics.tsu.edu , as well as the University's web site www.tsu.edu. Post baccalaureate training in each of these areas is available (i.e. scholarships) for competitive students who have already received a B.S. in a related area. The physics program is distinguished by having amongst its faculty many nationally and internationally prominent scholars working in forefront research areas.
