At Tufts, there are four centers affiliated with the Physics Department that work in teacher preparation and professional development:
the Fulcrum Institute

the Center for Science and Math Teaching

the Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

the Poincare Institute for Mathematics Education

Various members of the department are actively pursuing science education activities and changing their teaching strategies. We have various collaborations with the Department of Education. Individual members of the department are organizing professional development workshops for teachers.
