Problem 14.8: Determine the half-life period for the decay

Shown are 100 radioactive nuclei. All nuclei have the same probability to decay within the next moment of time. A graph showing the number of not-yet-decayed nucleus N as function of time τ, is called a decay curve. If you let the nucleus above decay a few times you'll notice that the decay curve very much follows this function. The graph fits the most for large amount of radioactive nucleus present. For all radioactive sources the law of decay applies: The number of not-yet-decayed nuclei falls exponentially with time. Restart. Determine the half-life period for the decay.
