Welcome to the KAPA forums.
This bulletin board was created for Physics and Astronomy faculty, postdocs, and students affected by Hurricane Katrina. Its goal was to connect those needing temporary employment, housing, or other support to offers from secondary and higher education institutions, government organizations, and industry.
The effort was led by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), and aided by the American Institute of Physics (AIP), the American Physical Society (APS), the American Astronomical Society (AAS), and other AIP Member Societies. Technical support was provided by the ComPADRE Digital Library.
The forums were closed in August 2006. An archive of the forum's posts are still available but will be removed at the end of 2010.
