The Physics Source website will be unavailable Friday evening through Saturday afternoon as electrical work occurs in the American Center of Physics server room. Down time will begin at 6PM Eastern Time on Friday. Service is expected to resume by 6PM on Saturday, July 30.

This applet is an interactive demonstration of the cross product developed for introductory physics. Students can alter the magnitude and direction of the two vectors being multiplied. The cross product is displayed as a red vector emerging from the plane defined by the first two vectors.

This item is part of a larger collection of simulation-based physics modules sponsored by the MAP project (Modular Approach to Physics).
