This activity from PBS provides a model of the plates that make up Earth's crust using the cracked shell of a hard-boiled egg.  The "Plate Tectonics activity" opens a window that shows top and side views of four tectonic plates.  Each of these plates can be moved with the mouse, with the resulting changes in Earth's crust shown.   Links provide an overview of plate tectonics and descriptions of four different kinds of plate boundaries.
