This site provides a description of how research teams from the Lawrence Livermore and the Los Alamos National Laboratories are joining forces to develop a physics-based model of wildfire development. The model is based on weather patterns, terrain, and local vegetation, three factors that interact through complex physical processes that are stimulated for the first time in this work.
