This simulation provides a highly visual, interactive way to explore gas properties. As you pump gas molecules into a chamber, you control volume, add/remove heat, and change gravity. A pop-up histogram helps you see the relationship between kinetic energy and heat. This item is part of a larger collection of simulations developed by the Physics Education Technology project (PhET).
