To enjoy your own on-screen planetarium, try this JAVA applet, which shows the motion of the constellations, planets, and the brightest stars and galaxies. You can input your latitude along with the date, time, and time steps for the motion. Clicking on objects in the sky view can bring up their data and images. Also, you can downloaded the application for offline viewing.
Be patient--this applet is large, so loading may be slow. Please note that this resource requires at least version 1.1 of Java.
