This website provides an interactive tutorial on the evolution of stars.  It integrates activities, graphs, quizzes, and animations to aid student learning.  It begins with proto-stars, then provides information about main-sequence stars, hydrostatic equilibrium, helium burning, and the H-R diagram.

Hello Gareth,

This is a browser setting and is not something that can be handled by Astronomy Center.

Here is an article that goes over how to enable this for Firefox:  http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10165_7-6212515-1.html

And here is how to have new windows default to tabs in IE7:

      1. Click Tools
      2. Click Internet Options
      3. Click Settings
      4. Select Always open pop-ups in new tab
      5. Click OK until you are back in your browser
